COURSE DESCRIPTION

RADIO-PATHOLOGICAL CORRELATION

       Practical skill in diagnosis of gross and microscopic pathology with correlation of pathology and diagnostic imaging of common diseases in Thailand.

 

DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING OF RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

      Principles, indications, limitations, procedures, complications of diagnostic imaging of respiratory system including interpretation of normal and abnormal conditions, practical skills on radiography and computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasonography.

 

DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING OF THE ABDOMEN

       Principles, indications, limitations, procedures, complications of diagnostic imaging of gastrointestinal system, hepatobiliary system, spleen, pancreas, intraperitoneal and retroperitoneal compartments including interpretation of normal and abnormal conditions, practical skills on radiography and computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasonography.

 

DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING OF GENITOURINARY SYSTEM AND BREASTS

      Principles, indications, limitations, procedures, complications of diagnostic imaging of genitourinary system and breasts including interpretation of normal and abnormal conditions, practical skills on radiography and computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasonography.

 

DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING OF MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM

       Principles, indications, limitations, procedures, complications of diagnostic imaging of musculoskeletal system including interpretation of normal and abnormal conditions, practical skills on radiography and computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasonography.

 

NEURORADIOLOGY

      Principles, indications, limitations, procedures, complications of diagnostic imaging of neuroradiology system including interpretation of normal and abnormal conditions, practical skills on radiography and computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasonography.

 

BASIC CARDIOVASCULAR DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING

      Principles, indications, limitations, procedures, complications of cardiovascular imaging including interpretation of normal and abnormal conditions, practical skills on radiography.

 

BASIC PEDIATRIC DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING

       Principles, indications, limitations, procedures, complications of diagnostic imaging of pediatric patients including interpretation of normal and abnormal conditions, practical skills on radiography and ultrasonography.

 

BASIC DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING OF HEAD AND NECK

       Principles, indications, limitations, procedures, complications of diagnostic imaging of head and neck including interpretation of normal and abnormal conditions, practical skills on radiography and ultrasonography.

 

BASIC INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY

       Principles, indications, limitations, procedures, complications of interventional radiology including practical skills for diagnosis and intervention using medical equipment : radiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasonography.

 

ADVANCED PEDIATRIC DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING

       Principles, indications, limitations, procedures, complications of diagnostic imaging of pediatric patients including interpretation of normal and abnormal conditions, practical skills on radiography and computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasonography.

 

ADVANCED DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING OF HEAD AND NECK

      Principles, indications, limitations, procedures, complications of diagnostic imaging of head and neck including interpretation of normal and abnormal conditions, practical skills on radiography and computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasonography.

 

ADVANCED CARDIOVASCULAR DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING

       Principles, indications, limitations, procedures, complications of cardiovascular diagnostic imaging including interpretation of normal and abnormal conditions, practical skills on radiography and computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasonography.

 

ADVANCED INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY

       Principles, indications, limitations, procedures, complications of interventional radiology including practical skills for diagnostic and intervention using medical equipment such as radiography and computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasonography and digital subtraction angiography.

 

SPECIAL PROJECT I

      Basic research methodology, how to choose research question literature search and review, research proposal.

 

SPECIAL PROJECT II

       Data collection and analysis, interpretation, write-up and report, presentation and discussion, clinical implication.

 

RADIONUCLIDE DIAGNOSIS FOR GENERAL RADIOLOGIST

       Principles, indications, contraindications, procedures, interpretation, of normal and abnormal findings of radionuclide investigation in common diseases, including practical skills on simple nuclear medicineprocedures and interpretation of the results.

 

RADIONUCLIDE THERAPY FOR GENERAL RADIOLOGIST

      Principles, indications, contraindications and complications of radionuclide therapy in various diseases, including practical skills on radioiodine treatment for hyperthyroidism and thyroid cancer, patient preparation, dose calculation, radioiodine administration and proper management of complications.

 

CLINICAL ONCOLOGY I

       Practical management of cancer patients, roles of radiotherapy, chemotherapy and hormonal therapy, Radiation Therapy techniques, including external beam radiation and brachytherapy.

 

OBSTETRIC AND GYNECOLOGIC ULTRASONOGRAPHY

      Principles, indications, limitations, procedures of obstetric and gynecologic ultrasonography including practical skill and interpretation skill.
